New Jersey Teeth Whitening
Many people want whiter teeth. Over time, our teeth accumulate stains from a variety of sources, such as coffee, tea, tobacco, simple aging, and even ordinary foods can cause our teeth to absorb stains gradually. And we are even born with certain pigments in our teeth. Tooth whitening is a common cosmetic dental procedure that is very effective at removing any accumulated stains, and will even brighten teeth beyond their natural color.
Teeth whitening is not expensive or complicated. There are several ways to accomplish tooth whitening. You can choose to whiten your teeth in the privacy of your own home, with custom take-home trays that we provide, or in the office with Zoom Whitening or KöR Whitening, or use a combination of the take-home trays and either of the in-office whitening procedures.
If you have dark brown stains on your teeth from the use of tetracycline as a child, we recommend you use KöR Whitening to remove those stains. Another proven method for removing tetracycline stains is to have porcelain crowns or porcelain veneers placed on your teeth.
Bleaching can be very cost effective, and is a non-invasive way to beautify your smile. If you are happy with the shape and alignment of your teeth, but simply wish they were a few shades whiter, a simple New Jersey teeth whitening procedure may be all that is needed to give you the smile that you desire.

Teeth Whitening Procedure
For the standard tooth whitening procedure, we create an impression of your teeth and use it to create thin, custom fitting plastic trays. At home, you will place a gel containing carbamide peroxide in the tray, which you then wear for specified periods of time, or perhaps overnight, for a time frame of about two to four weeks, sometimes longer. While you wear the trays, the carbamide peroxide breaks down, giving off oxygen which enters the enamel and dentin, and bleaching the colored substances. The structure of the tooth is not modified or changed in any way.
This method of teeth whitening is highly effective, and compares favorably to other procedures available. Laser whitening procedures are faster, but will not make your teeth whiter than the tray system.
A beautiful whiter and brighter smile can be yours!
