How do I get the snap on smile off of my teeth to brush them? It won’t come off. I put something in the insides of the smile because it was loose and now it won’t come off. My breath is starting to smell bad. Please tell me how I can get it off without breaking the smile. Sammi
Sammi – It is not clear if the appliance you are describing is a Snap-On Smile that you received from your dentist, or if you obtained a similar appliance elsewhere.
Also, there is no indication of what you used to ensure that the appliance would stay on your teeth. Did you use dental adhesive or another substance?
We don’t have enough information to advise you on how to safely remove the appliance without damaging it—and more importantly without damaging your tooth enamel. We recommend that you schedule an appointment with a dentist to examine the appliance and to ensure that your tooth enamel is intact.
When you receive an oral appliance from a dentist that does not fit properly, be certain to protect your investment and your teeth by taking the appliance to your dentist to make the necessary adjustments.
