INTRA-ORAL CAMERAS

With the help of the intra-oral camera problems such as decay, broken fillings and cracked teeth can be detected at an earlier stage. The intra-oral camera, which is approximately one half inch in diameter, comfortably and conveniently gives you an up close and personal tour of the inside of your mouth. The enlarged image is projected on a color monitor enabling both of us to visualize any existing or potential problems. I believe that "a picture is worth a thousand words" and have repeatedly found this to be true when utilizing this amazing piece of equipment. At each and every checkup, we examine your teeth and soft tissues with this camera and occasionally during treatment appointments it is beneficial to photograph the teeth in order to verify problems for the insurance company. Now you have the opportunity to see your mouth in living color!

CASEY SYSTEM

The Casey system is a video based teaching program that explains the numerous treatment options available to you today.

INTRA-ORAL/PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

If you are considering cosmetic changes in your mouth, the first step I take is to take a complete set of 35mm photographs of your teeth. Along with models and a full set of dental x-rays this enables me to prepare a comprehensive treatment plan specifically for your situation. The photographs assist me in determining the shape, size and relationship of the teeth. A consultation is then scheduled when you and I can discuss the different options and your input is given careful consideration. Before and after photographs are always an interesting and vital part of the cosmetic case. I also enjoy teaching Oral/Portrait Photography to my peers and have a small studio set up in my office in order to take before and after photographs of my work. Examples of my landscape photography are proudly displayed throughout my office.

SOFT TISSUE DIODE LASER

The Diode laser is used to change and reshape the gum line. It corrects uneven gum tissue and lengthens the appearance of each tooth. In virtually seconds the tissue vaporizes, leaving healthy gum tissue. I have personally had this procedure done and was amazed at the ease of it and the lack of discomfort.

ARGON APOLLO CURING LASER/BLEACHING LIGHT

The plasma arc curing laser works in less than three seconds strengthening the bond between the material and the tooth. We also use this light for the in office bleaching of teeth.
