New Jersey Spa Dentistry

The concept that a dental office could be a place of relaxation and pampering has now become a reality. Many people do not consider a trip to the dentist a treat, so it is no surprise that my patients are embracing the idea of a spa treatment during a dental visit. The soothing environment and amenities being offered are making my patients look forward to their visits. They are able to have necessary health care completed and feel relaxed and rejuvenated in the process. In addition, people are short on time in our society so the idea of multi-tasking is appealing. I am not competing with spas and dentistry is still, and always will be, my main focus. My goal is to make the person as comfortable as possible, while offering exceptional dental care.

Spa dentistry is not just a trend for me. I am an enthusiastic supporter of massage therapy and holistic health, and wanted to incorporate it into my practice, extending the benefits to my patients. People can be tense when they visit the dentist, and massage therapy helps to relax them. The result? Patients love it. High stress levels can cause the blood pressure to rise and the body produces more adrenalin, causing the anesthetic to go through the body more quickly and be less effective. Studies have shown that massage releases endorphins and lowers blood pressure. In other words, you require less anesthesia. It’s wonderful to give my patients what they want, improve their oral health, and make a difference in their lives.

During treatment, you are offered a scented neck pillow, cable TV, headphones, and a blanket. My Nationally Certified Massage Therapist pampers my patients with a complementary neck and shoulder massage, therapeutic stretching, pressure points, warm hand treatment, or foot reflexology. In addition to the shorter complimentary sessions half hour and one hour Swedish or deep tissue massage sessions are available in a separate massage room by appointment.
