New Jersey Dental BridgeA dental bridge is a technique used to replace a missing tooth. Unlike dental implants, a dental bridge requires no actual surgical procedure. A dental bridge can be an affordable and realistic looking way to replace a missing tooth.
Dental Bridge ProcedureTo place a dental bridge, the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth are prepared for crowns. The crowns are then prepared with a replacement tooth suspended between them. When the crowns are placed on the adjacent teeth, the replacement tooth is suspended in the location of the missing tooth, creating the illusion of an actual tooth. This technique is particularly useful if either of the adjacent teeth are in need of a crown anyway. Dr. Hurley used a combination of a porcelain bridge, porcelain veneers, and porcelain crowns to create the beautiful smile makeovers pictured below.
